Hello and welcome to my website,
My name is Mark Norman and I am originally from Alabama born in 1966. Times were different then in many ways. We had phones mounted to a wall in the house, B&W TV's, sat down for meals at the family table, if we got in trouble there was discipline, and simple things meant alot. I grew up a very simple life with two great parents and a wonderful younger brother. We were brought up in church so faith is very important and how you treat others. I continued throughout life with many good times and some opportunities. As a child I was blessed with the ability to be taken on family vacations. These places included local, state and US western trips. Some of my favorites are Maine, Smoky Mountains, and mostly Route 66. I suffered some fairly serious health issues recently so in my down time I had plenty of "thinking time". During this time of discovery I flashed back to my boyhood vacation times and remembered such things as big holes in the ground (Grand Canyon), cars buried in the ground (Cadillac Ranch), vibrating beds (magic fingers), oil pumping stations. These during my recovery and down time through research determinations were made that these are part of Route 66. I was very lucky to discover a now friend Roamin' Rich on YouTube and that changed my life. His channel is unlike any other dealing with Route 66. I will provide links to him and others on the links section of the website. My first adult Route 66 journey happened in October and November 2018 that changed my life forever!! I connected on this journey with not the road but the people, stories, sights, stores and Americana. If you are not familiar with Route 66 it is well worth some deep dive research. My health has improved tremendously and I attribute some of this to my connection with Route 66 and the new rodies I am now friends with. Myself and many others are working hard to take Route 66 into the 22 century. Would you be interested in helping?
